What the…?

It’s been a month since my last post. Amazing how time flies, isn’t it?

Over the past month I’ve actually had a fair bit that I’ve wanted to post about, but I haven’t really had the words for it. Not really sure why, I just didn’t know what to write. Kind of sad, in my mind, to be honest – I have this outlet for my thoughts and opinions, and yet, I don’t use it as often as I want to. Is there something wrong with me because of that? Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments.

Anyway, since I’m writing this post, I may as well discuss some news. Firstly, I am (almost) a graduate! Last week (Wednesday 22nd of May, to be precise), I was able to submit the forms for my work experience. Once they’ve been processed by the university, I’ll be able to graduate. It feels really awesome to know I’m that close to having my degree. It also feels really weird. Not too sure why, though.

My second piece of news is that I’m considering completely redesigning the theme for this blog. At the moment, all I have in mind for the new theme is for it to be more dynamic – eg. animations, infinite scroll (think Facebook, Google+), etc. Other than that, I guess you’ll all find out when I get around to designing something (I may post screenshots of a few ideas). I’m also considering using the theme throughout other things that I build (of my own).

There’s been some interesting news from both Sony and Microsoft about their “Next Gen” consoles. Sony, for starters, have revealed some information about the software side of the PS4 – live streaming directly from games, sharing of content to social websites, and some of the games that will be on it – but they never revealed what the hardware looks like. I don’t think not showing the actual console was a good move by Sony, because I’d rather know what the console will look like than have all this social stuff. Microsoft, on the other hand, recently (on Thursday 23rd of May) revealed the XBox One, which…well…I think this video sums it up what it can do fairly well. To both Sony and Microsoft: I want a console for the gaming experience, NOT for everything else that’s being put in at the moment.

I think that’s about all I have to say for this post. Feel free to leave your opinions on the topics I’ve talked about in the comments, particularly what you think about the next generation of consoles coming from Sony and Microsoft.

Thanks for reading this post.
